NO. It’s not a brag post about a first place I got.
Instead it is a milestone for me. My first ever blog post ….

I am still on cloud nine after finally publishing my own website this week. It took me a very long time, one year minus 2 days, to be precise. Often, it hung like a dark cloud over my head and made me feel unproductive, like a slacker, not determined enough or even frustrated and questioning my ability. And now that it is up, I know it’s not perfect, BUT IT’S MINE. I feel I finally accomplished a part of my dream that I have had for many years before today. It started with a simple question long ago….. “What do I WANT to do post City Cafe and Bakery, a long journey of owning our own business with my husband Jorg? Employing as many as 40 employees at one time, being active and involved in our community, raising 4 children while building our business and truly caring about each staff member and our customers. We earned our place in the community and made many impressions and memories along the way. What I did know back then too is, I want to work with people and teach them what I am passionate about. Passing on my knowledge and experiences of a long active lifestyle, and eventually becoming a competitive triathlete once my children were old enough. I do best when challenged and work most focused under pressure. That doesn’t mean I don’t feel anxieties. I feel them a lot.

So for the past several years and since our retirement from City Cafe and Bakery in April 2021, I have worked diligently for my new business, getting certifications as a Swim Instructor, USAT Triathlon Coach Level 1, CPR trained and in ELDOA Level 1,2 and 3, while still being coached myself and competing in Triathlon. This is a big year for me and I feel blessed EVERY SINGLE DAY. I thank GOD for all the opportunities and the doors he has opened. I am grateful for his beauty I see every day and the lessons he teaches me through hardship. I am ready!
